Step 2: Drill Holes
Step 3: Install Drywall Anchors
Step 4: Screw hook to wall

Instructions

Step 1: Mark Hole Locations

  1. Hold the coat hook in the desired location.
  2. Using a pencil, mark the screw hole positions on the surface.

Step 2: Drill Holes

For Stud Installation

  1. Drill pilot holes with a 1/8” drill bit at the marked locations.
  2. Pilot holes help prevent wood splitting and make it easier to install the screws.

For Drywall Installation with Anchors

  1. Drill pilot holes with a 1/8” drill bit at the marked locations. This ensures that the hole is in the correct position.
  2. Using a 7/32” drill bit, re-drill the holes

For Thin Wood Installation

  1. Drill pilot holes with a 1/8” drill bit at the marked locations to prevent wood splitting.

Step 3: Install Drywall Anchors

  1. Insert the drywall anchors into the holes by pressing them in until flush with the drywall. Tap lightly with a hammer if necessary.

Step 4: Attach the Coat Hook

  1. Align the coat hook with the pilot holes.
  2. Insert screws into the holes, matching the appropriate screws to the mounting surface:
    •  Directly into stud: 1 1/2” screws
    • Drywall: 1 1/2” screws
    • Thin Wood: 5/8” screws
  3.  Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver until the coat hook is securely mounted. Do not over-tighten, as this may damage the mounting surface or pull out the drywall anchor.
